Call for experts in new TV programme for budding inventors
Shine TV is in production with a new science and invention series for CBBC called ‘This Kid Could Change the World’. The series celebrates the imagination and ideas of children between the ages of 9 and 12 and encourages them to generate inventions that they think could have a positive impact on the world around us. A selection of the ideas submitted to the programme will make it through to appear on the show where the children will have the opportunity to develop their concept from its inception to its possible practical application.
Shine TV is looking for designers or inventors who have successfully brought a product to market to act as an adjudicator on the programme; and for specialists in industries such as Engineering, Science, Design and Technology to work one on one with the children in their studio to encourage and advise them on the practical application of their ideas.
Filming is likely to take place between week commencing 3 May and week ending 19 June, and the time commitment is likely to be no more than 8 days for the adjudicator and 10 days for the experts over that period .
