Become a STEM Ambassador
There are three steps to becoming a STEM Ambassador:
- Complete a STEM Ambassador Registration Form online here.
- Attend a STEM Ambassador induction session (for dates see document)
- Complete a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check
- As being a STEM Ambassador involves working with children we are obliged by law to ask you to complete a CRB police check. We need to see you in person with various forms of ID for this, so it is usually easiest to do the CRB check during the
STEM Ambassador induction.
The induction session covers, among other things:
- Background information about the scheme and what you can do as an ambassador
- The current education system, recent changes and top tips for working in schools
- Guidance about good communication skills – how to put your message across to different audiences
Click here for information about the CRB check and scroll to the bottom for a list of documents you can use as acceptable Identification.
Please be aware that to complete a CRB form you will also need to know your National Insurance number and your home addresses covering the last 5 years.
