Linking Businesses with Public Audiences
Science Oxford has recently completed a project funded by the Royal Academy of Engineering’s Ingenious Grant Scheme to help local engineering companies promote the work they do to public audiences. By drawing on our contacts and expertise gained through our work with businesses, public audiences and school groups, Science Oxford is ideally placed to help link companies with different audiences.
Five local engineering companies worked with us to develop a variety of activities, events and resources, ranging from interactive workshops for careers days, recruitment material, public events and website resources. “This project really demonstrates the value of connecting business, schools and the public which is core to Science Oxford’s work.” says Amanda Nolte, Head of Research and Innovation at Science Oxford.

- The opportunity to engage with prospective future employees
- An opportunity to deliver their CSR agenda
- Experience of working with public and/or school audiences
- An activity or resource developed specifically for each company’s needs
- Opportunities for being involved in further outreach activities
Science Oxford continues to promote and facilitate links between businesses, the public and local schools. To find out how your company could benefit from getting involved, or for further information about the Ingenious project, please contact: Amanda.nolte@scienceoxford.com
