Peer Mentoring
Our Peer Mentoring Programme is a series of regular meetings where managers from local science and high-tech companies share practical business expertise in a neutral and supportive environment.
The basis for the programme is for small groups to meet on a monthly basis over breakfast to discuss issues affecting their businesses. Anything can be discussed and topics are decided by the participants. Group size is kept small to encourage participation and to help build trust.
Everything is done in confidence, and there are no sales pitches. Science Oxford facilitates the group sessions and provides anonymised notes of the meetings.
Multiple groups may be run concurrently in different locations around the county. Entry to the programme is through either one of the Taster Sessions when new groups are formed or by invitation to an existing group.
We have had great success with these sessions in the past and they have become an effective informal source of advice and support for busy managers.
If you are a senior manager in a science or high-tech company and you are interested in taking part, please email initiatives@scienceoxford.com.
Science Oxford Networks runs Peer Mentoring session specifically for women in science, engineering and technology companies.
