Sustainability: Plans for the Future

Thursday 18 February 2010
18:00 until 18:30
Postgraduate Centre building, Wheatley Campus

Guest speaker: Harriet Waters, Sustainability Manager for Oxford Brookes University

Harriet Waters will be covering the Corporate Responsibility Programme at Oxford Brookes University explaining what her team have done, why they have done it and the plans for the future. She will be using her expertise in this area to discuss what businesses can do to become more sustainable.

Harriet’s job has developed from Environmental Coordinator to Sustainability Manager and there is now a team of five working on sustainability issues at the University. Prior to Brookes, Harriet worked for the Ethical Investment Research Service (EIRIS), assessing Sustainability Reports for clients such as the Co-operative Bank and FTSE4Good. Working on Corporate Responsibility at Brookes has enormous potential which she hopes to begin to harness by producing the University’s first ever Sustainability Report.
