Science Oxford Networks develop support initiatives in response to business requirements.

We talk to and work closely with our friends of Science Oxford Networks so that we can deliver the support that the science and technology community in Oxfordshire really need. Being our friend gives you the opportunity to let us know what would be useful for your organisation.

We have a reputation of delivering innovative, pioneering initiatives. However, rather than doing everything ourselves, and perhaps duplicating work being done by others, our aim has always been to focus our resources and efforts in areas where our analysis indicates need is greatest, and invest only where our involvement can make a real difference. Working in partnership and in collaboration with other organizations helps to facilitate this process, by opening communication channels and leveraging expertise. Science Oxford Networks has a history of doing this.

Science Oxford played a key role in the founding and development of Venturefest, Oxfordshire’s annual fair for entrepreneurs. We now have an active role on the Venturefest Board and deliver the Technology Showcase, an exhibition of local science and technology companies.

We are also currently working with Oxford Innovation in the delivery of the Martin and Audrey Wood Enterprise Awards, which celebrate excellence in business and innovation in Oxfordshire and the Thames Valley.

Other collaborative work with Oxford Innovation includes a research project into early stage funding of high-tech companies. In addition we are developing research projects with the Oxfordshire Economic Partnership and Oxford Brookes University. Information gained from projects such as these will be used to further inform the development of future support initiatives.
